Gato Hosts Neighboorhood Art Gathering

This Friday, January 14th, come enjoy an evening of the arts in the neighborhood of the Historic Gato Cigar Factory Building at 1100 Simonton Street. At the Gato Building, the Florida Keys Council of the Arts hosts an exhibit of new collages created by members of the Artists in Paradise Gallery on Big Pine Key. Meet the artists and enjoy music in the courtyard by Bobby D. & The No Slack Living Room Band from 5 - 7 p.m. Parking is free. Starting at 5:30 p.m. Centennial Bank at the corner of Simonton and United Streets, hosts an artist reception for the Key West Historic Marker Art Car. The car features artwork by Erin Backer, Karen Beauprie, Sally Binard, Janis Childs, Fran Decker, Pam Hobbs, Dick Moody, William Welch, Rick Worth, David Harrison Wright and more! Enter to win the Art Car; tickets are $25 to support the Key West Historic Marker Project. Then don't forget to stop by the BottleCap Groove Lounge corner of Simonton and Catherine Streets, for this week's Happy Hour benefitting the Bahama Village Music Program.
