elizabeth s. young

Elizabeth S. Young is the Interim Executive Director of the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. Mrs. Young has an extensive background in both the performing and visual arts. Her experience working with non-profit organizations spans program development, board relations, publicity, marketing and fundraising. She earned her B.A.
in Art History and Theater from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. After spending nearly a decade in New York City as a Casting Director for film, television and theater she relocated to the Florida Keys in 1987.

She is currently the President of the Board of Directors for the Montessori Elementary Charter School, and a Board Member of Congregation B’nai Zion. Most recently,
she volunteered backstage at Nutcracker Key West as the parent and young dancer coordinator for all rehearsals and performances at the Tennessee Williams Theater.
Mrs. Young was the business manager for Island Wellness for 15 years, before joining the Alan S. Maltz Gallery. Since 2002, Liz has worked in all aspects of the business
and fine art photography gallery on Duval Street. Most recently she assisted Alan with the completion and promotion of his award-winning coffee table book, Florida…Beyond the Blue Horizon.

Liz and her husband, Gary with daughters, Emily and Claire enjoy being a part of the Florida Keys Arts community.

andrea comstock

Andrea is the business manager for the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. Ms. Comstock holds a B.A. in anthropology and an extensive background in Key West's hospitality industry.  She brings her customer service and administrative skills to the arts council, where she manages the daily operations, and assists in answering hundreds of questions every week from members, artists, patrons of the arts, and visitors about grants, calls to artists, and cultural tourism.

reen stanhouse

Reen is the membership specialist for the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. A working artist, Reen's metal sculptures and ironwork are in collections throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

michael mccabe

Michael is excited to join our staff at FKCA, where he is focusing on Community Outreach & Public Relations. Originally from Seattle, Washington, he received his B.A. in Music from Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland. In Seattle he served as the Development Director for ArtsWest Playhouse, was the Program Manager for the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program, and served as President of the Board of Directors for the Burien Little Theatre.  He is a local favorite on the performing arts scene as an actor and singer, and has appeared in many shows on the Waterfront Playhouse stage, as well as the Red Barn and the Tennessee Williams Theater.
